Rashard Lewis had 22 points for the Magic, which remained percentage points behind Boston for the Eastern Conference’s second seed. LeBron James finished with 26 points and 9 rebounds but shot 7 for 20 from the field.
Cleveland’s 35-point defeat at Detroit on Nov. 11, 2007, remains the most lopsided of James’s career. A 17-point loss against the Lakers in January had been the Cavaliers’ worst this season.
HEAT 97, BOBCATS 92 Dwyane Wade had 27 points and 10 assists as Miami won at Charlotte, clinching a playoff berth a year after an ugly 15-win season.

IVERSON OUT FOR SEASON The Detroit Pistons said their All-Star guard Allen Iverson would miss the rest of the season because of a sore back. Iverson missed 16 games from Feb. 27 to March 28. Over the last three games, he averaged 7.7 points and 2.7 assists in nearly 19 minutes. (AP)
